ePressPack, the Leader in Online Newsrooms, Raises € 1.5 million in Venture Capital

Paris, 18 February 2016 – The French start-up ePressPack, which offers solutions for online media relations and builds newsrooms to manage and distribute content, announced today that it raised 1.5 million euros in a final round of financing with the Entrepreneur Venture Group.  The financing was led by Chausson Finance, which specializes in raising funds for high-growth companies, and by Harlay Avocats, the law firm formerly known as Kahn & Associates.
ePressPack solutions enables brands to engage their audiences with interactive news (via the web, email and social networks), while optimizing their content.  ePressPack services are used by 125 large companies and French institutions, 30% of which are listed on the CAC 40 and also include large French television stations such as France Télévision, Canal +, TV5 World, Euronews and Public Senat.  Furthermore, the start-up attributes 35% of sales to foreign clients in more than six countries.  The United Kingdom represents 25% of its sales.  This year, the company posted a 300% growth.
The fundraising will enable ePressPack to continue its rapid development, internally and externally. Part of its growth includes the acquisition, in February 2015, of PressKing, an all-in-one solution for managing online media relations.
With the funding, ePressPack plans on tripling its size by recruiting 30 new employees, with an eye towards France’s most prestigious design schools, and opening a subsidiary in London.  The additional resources will help ePressPack further strengthen its offer and proprietary technology, with R&D and a workforce 100% ‘made in France.’
ePressPack was founded in 2011 by Antoun Sfeir, a media communication veteran with experience in newswire services and digital solutions, and Jerome Jelocha, an expert in Cloud technologies and information systems organization.
“We are delighted to have completed this final round of funding. After the acquisition of PressKing, we are taking another step in our development and can continue our innovative approach to effectively addressing new markets,” said Antoun Sfeir, President of ePressPack.
