What is it like to be the Business Development - Inside Sales Representative at epresspack?

Working across a wide variety of industries with major brands, such as Louis Vuitton, Aston Martin, Tommy Hilfiger, Sanofi, Chateau Versailles, and Havas, epresspack offers a customized Newsroom Content Management Solution (SaaS) based on client's needs, brand guidelines, and overall communication goals. Integrated into the client's website, epresspack's closed-loop solution provides a one-stop shop to manage, publish, and distribute rich media stories to a target audience, and then get the analytics to measure the results, all while ensuring the content is SEO optimized and shareable.

As a member of the newly created North American Start-up team, as the Inside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for lead generation and engaging epresspack’s prospective customers by leveraging your PR and digital marketing skills to position our software as a service (SaaS) solutions through cold calling and other direct lead generation activities such as social selling. You will manage the sales cycle from needs analysis, demo, proposal through to close.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Learning and maintaining a deep understanding of epresspack solution, client needs and the industry as a whole, by participating in formal/informal training sessions and self-directed learning; maintaining a knowledge of all processes, systems, and applications utilized within the company (Salesforce, Hubspot, etc.);
  • Developing and maintaining a sales pipeline of opportunities to achieve lead generation objectives by placing calls and sending emails to potential clients for sales and marketing purposes (e.g., cold calls, off lists); using social media to engage and identify prospects, receiving and responding to inbound call, online chat or email inquiries about our solution; managing email and voicemail to ensure prompt response to potential customers.
  • Conduct strategic business conversations with prospects to understand their needs and succinctly articulate epresspack client’s story to showcase how we can address their specific needs based on concrete case studies;
  • Research and build data list of potential prospects; meet prospecting KPI’s activities and validated pipeline goals utilizing our dedicated CRM system and ensure all your activities, including meetings booked and notes, are all captured in Salesforce.
  • Produce well-written client-facing documentation for all opportunities you pursue.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to connect and engage with prospects via the telephone and social media – A MUST!
  • Experience using technology like Skype for business, Google hangout or any other web. solution to conduct meetings and demos in North America.
  • Experience selling technology, more especially software as a service (SaaS) and fast-learner.
  • Ability to build a prospect list using programs such as LinkedIn, Zoominfo, Jigsaw.
  • Understanding of sales environments that have a complex decision-making hierarchy
  • Experience using Salesforce or another Sales CRM a must.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft office (specifically PowerPoint & Excel).
  • You are curious minded and always learning new things.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills – English.
  • Excellent listening and interpersonal skills – Teamwork oriented.


Education & other requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field or equivalent work experience may be considered a substitution
  • Preferably 2-4 years of sales experience with a proven track record in a similar role, ideally in a SaaS environment.        
  • Knowledgeable about Marketing Communication, Digital Marketing or Public Relations a +.

Integrated into the client’s website, epresspack’s close-looped solution provides a one-stop shop to manage rich content, contacts, distribution, and analytics all while ensuring the content is highly searchable and shareable.

As a member of the newly created North American team, you will develop, maintain, and service clients throughout the entire sales cycle to achieve annual sales objectives that align with the company’s strategic vision.  You will generate prospects by leveraging new and existing contacts and creatively search the marketplace for potential opportunities by performing outbound activities to establish and build new relationships.

Reporting to the Director Sales, North America, you will contribute towards building epresspack as a leader in its industry. You will also assist with gathering insights on current and new product concepts, and provide feedback for future product development. You will represent epresspack as a brand ambassador to build awareness at industry events and through social networking.  You will work with the Client Success Team to ensure our customized solution meets every client’s needs.
